C-Mount Adapters for Multiple Cameras
BIOIMAGER offers several adapters for multiple cameras, camera and scanner to an upright microscope, inverted or stereoscope, such as Beam Splitter for Upright Microscopes, Dual C-Mount Splitter or TwinCam and MultiCam enables two-, three- and four-camera, dual emission imaging from one microscope port.
This problem initially raised by one of our clients in mineralogy, located in Hawaii, USA. He planned to use one camera and one spectrometre together with our Huvitz HRM300 Upright BF/DF/DIC/POL Metallurgical microscope. We found three solutions for him as following:
Solution 1. Beam Splitter for Upright Microscopes
Solution 2. Dual C-Mount Splitter
The Dual C-Mount Splitter (DCMS) provides two parfocal C-mount ports when mounted on many common microscopes. Typical uses include combining a fast analog auto-focus camera system simultaneously with a high-resolution digital camera. The assembly accepts standard size mirrored and dichroic glass plates. Additionally, a standard filter can be inserted behind each of the C-mounts. The male C-mounts can be rotated and locked at any orientation. Photoport adapters are available for most microscopes, as applicable.
Solution 3. The TwinCam and MultiCam enables two-, three- and four-camera, dual emission imaging from one microscope port
|The Cairn TwinCam enables two cameras to be coupled to the same microscope port with pixel alignment. The base unit can accommodate one of our standard filter cubes allowing light to be distributed on the basis of wavelength, polarisation state or focal depth. Each cube has fine mechanical X-Y adjustment for pixel overlay or deliberate image offset. The input of the instrument has a variable rectangular aperture enabling the use of cropped sensor mode on both detectors. Each port can be fitted with different magnification optics to accommodate all popular sensor sizes and a wide range of fields of view. As the internal optics are infinity corrected, manual or motorised filter changers can also be fitted to input and output ports.
