High-Efficiency Scanner and Detector
The BCF-950 features a standardized scanner designed to ensure both stability and scalability. It integrates a high-precision scanning galvanometer system with continuously variable-speed motorized hexagonal holes, delivering low-noise, high-contrast, and high-quality confocal images across all objective magnifications. The newly developed scanning galvanometer control technology supports resolutions of up to 4096×4096 pixels, ensuring exceptional image clarity.
High-Performance Objectives for Confocal Imaging
BIS60 Plan Apochromat Objective
These high numerical aperture (NA) objectives offer superior chromatic aberration correction across a broad wavelength range, from ultraviolet to infrared. Enhanced with Bioimager’s exclusive Nano Multi-Coating technology, the lenses deliver significantly improved transmission properties, ensuring high-quality imaging that serves as the foundation for exceptional confocal imaging performance.
Laser Unit and Detector
The system features an integrated four-color laser unit (405nm, 488nm, 561nm, 640nm) with a single-port fiber output, offering a compact, space-saving solution for confocal imaging. An internal AOTF (Acousto-Optic Tunable Filter) module allows for fast and efficient wavelength and power selection.
For signal detection, the system utilizes four highly sensitive PMT (Photomultiplier Tube) detectors. These detectors enable the detection of fluorescent signals with high sensitivity, automatically processing and synthesizing multi-channel fluorescent staining based on the wavelengths stimulated by the lasers. This ensures simultaneous multi-channel detection and display for enhanced imaging capabilities.
High-resolution images can be generated with a single click, as the software automatically calculates the optimal small hole size based on the objective’s numerical aperture, exposure value, and scanning range to achieve the best signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio. A built-in noise reduction algorithm removes background noise in real time, further enhancing image quality. Multi-channel images are simultaneously captured and synthesized, allowing for real-time observation of multiple stains.
The BCF-950’s motorized Z-axis enables automatic Z-Stack acquisition and 3D model generation by setting the top position, bottom position, and movement interval. Additionally, the system offers various motorized control interfaces, including a motorized objective carousel, fluorescent filter unit, and condenser turntable.
With motorized stage control and a motorized focusing mechanism, the software can quickly locate and record the Region of Interest (ROI), enabling users to easily return to the recorded position for further analysis.
