Black marble, granite or tile is great stones for photo etching or engraving by a laser. This gives amazingly great contrast of black and white.

People use this service mainly for cemetery or funeral to have a custom message or mixed of text / script and portrait or family photos.

The laser engraving is permanent on the stone. Water or rain will not damage that as this can be the case if we use laser printing. Being said that, heavy rain which contains acid or calcium that may damage the surface of stone, you can expect the image is affected.

What you need to do?

You just simply send a high-resolution image. Minimum 400 dpi or 10MP image.
